Greetings!

Hi Everyone!

    Al kinds of new things are happening at Needle Me This... new classes, new fabrics, new books and patterns, new customers.  Hooray!

    In addition to the monthly class schedule, other events are being planned.

   We had great success with our first Mystery Retreat in March.  With recommendations from the participants as a guideline, we have scheduled another for the end of May.  It will be the 'Patriotic Puzzle' Mystery Retreat.  The previous attendees recommended we extend to Sunday afternoon and lessen the time on Saturday.  So, we will try another beginning Friday, May 30th and ending Sunday, June 1st.  Dinner is provided Friday evening, Saturday there is breakfast and lunch and Sunday light snacks.  The number of participants is limited.  Call the shop for details or to register.

    In June... Friday the 13th, after shop hours, we are having a SPA Night.  This will include a 'make and take' project, dinner, and an upper body massage by a Licensed Massage Therapist.  Limited space is available, so sign up early.  Call the shop for details.

    With the popularity of charm squares, we have decided to hold "Charm School" twice a month!  Onthe second Monday from 10:30 to 1:00 or the third Thursday from 5:30 to 8:00 of each month we will share a charm project with the "students".  The project may or may not require 2 sessions.  The Thursday evening was added for our working quilters.  Come and relax and have some fun with other quilting enthusiasts.

    For our grandmas and young moms looking for adorable simple patterns to sew for their little ones, we have just received a variety of terrific patterns from Children's Corner.  Match these with some of our terrific new fabrics and that "sundress", with your special additions, will be a design original... yours!

    For our young sewers and quilters-to-be, ages 9 through 12, we are holding a KIDS CAMP in June.  From June 17th through the 20th and June 24th through the 27th, from 10:00 to 12:30 each day, the students will meet to learn all about sewing machines and develop the skills by completing appropriate projects.  Also for this group, arriving in the shop within the next week will be the Design-A-Doll Kits by Tiche and Bea. The relatively new company out of Chicago has developed this kit that is super fun and contains everything necessary to create a doll with dresses, pants, the works!  The kit, besides including all the needed sewing implements will include an 80 minute DVD with step by step instruction to create and dress the doll of her dreams.  Classes will be organized if the interest is there, especially during summer vacation.  Let us know what you think!

    Last but certainly not least, a reminder to all our customers...Quiltfest is July 28th through August 2nd.  Enter one or more of your projects to be on display during the week and be in the Viewers' Choice Competition.  We are excited to "show-off" our customers works! Please come join in the weeks festivities. Come pick up an entry form and become part of the fun!  We will conclude the week with a Customer Appreciation BBQ on Saturday, August 2nd at 5:00 PM.   

    Before I close, just a reminder that the shop is now open on Thursday evenings until 8:00 PM and have extended our hours on Saturday until 5:00PM.
